UNJUST  U.S.  WAR

Libya war, Libya, U.S. War Libya, U.S. war, fakewars, U.S. fakewars

When fake or phony incidents are staged, such as The Gulf of Tonkin Incident, for example, one may refer to the ensuing subsequent war actions of engagement as fakewar or fakewar(s), or, especially if The United States Congress has not passed a war declaration the undeclared war-police-action might be termed fakewar.  The bloodletting and suffering and dying in fakewar(s) is indeed as real as in declared wars, but the necessity of the fakewar(s) is at least suspect and questionable, and therefore fakewar(s) are immoral and unjust.  The latest such debacle for The U.S. is the attack on Libya.

This editor thought that Obama's current bombing of Libya and the other phony U.S. wars, Iraq and Afghanistan, are reminiscent of The Bay of Pigs disaster during the Kennedy Administration.  In fact, the astute and very capable writer, Webster G. Tarpley, Ph.D., has called it exactly that - 'Obama's Bay of Pigs in Libya: Imperialist Aggression Shreds UN Charter'.   Remember the CEMENTS we at  InformAmerica.net informed you of that Candidates For The Con (
putative presidents and officials) depend on to stay in office?

Isn't the so-called 'humanitarian effort' a bit of a lame excuse to bomb a foreign sovereign nation, especially without a war declaration from Congress?

Tarpley writes:

"Obama's Bay of Pigs in Libya: Imperialist Aggression Shreds UN Charter

March 19. 2011

Washington DC, March 19 - Late today US and British cruise missiles joined with French and other NATO combat aircraft in Operation Odyssey Dawn/Operation Ellamy, a neo-imperialist bombing attack under fake humanitarian cover against the sovereign state of Libya.  Acting under UN Security Council resolution 1973, US naval forces in the Mediterranean on Saturday night local time fired 112 cruise missiles at targets which the Pentagon claimed were related to Libya's air defense system.  But Mohammed al-Zawi, the Secretary General of the Libyan Parliament, told a Tripoli press conference that the "barbaric armed attack" and "savage aggression" had hit residential areas and office buildings as well as military targets, filling the hospitals of Tripoli and Misurata with civilian victims.  Zawi accused the foreign powers of acting to protect a rebel leadership which contains notorious terrorist elements.  The Libyan government repeated its request for the UN to send international observers to report objectively on events in Libya."    more at the link

CNN and FOX reported the Pentagon has confirmed the US has launched military strikes in Libya.  The US, compelled by BIG OIL, is at it again, meddling in the conflicts and affairs of yet another Arab oil nation.  Writer, columnist, constitutionalist, Devvy Kidd issued the following alert today.

Those rotten, corrupt cowards in the US Congress

Devvy Kidd

CNN and FOX reporting the Pentagon has confirmed the US has launched military strikes in Libya.

"We" have fired missiles into a foreign country with absolutely no legal or moral authority.

Where is the declaration of war by Congress?

Libya has not attacked the US.

Here we go again. Butting our nose into another regional conflict, in this case INTERNAL civil war within a foreign country. Complete and utter madness.

Of course, in case people haven't figured it out yet, this is about oil, not any feigned concern about the so called rebels over there. A third Muslim country (97%) rich in oil now feeling our tax dollars in the form of missiles. What's next? Ground troops and another quagmire to further bankrupt us in debt?

I called my US House Representative's office several times last week and will do so again on Monday to remind him I will not vote for him in the next election. He hasn't said a peep about another illegal act of military aggression. All his staffer grunts is "Thank you and I'll let the Congressman know."

How many pictures of dead children will we see by Monday? Prepare for more blow back.

Ron Paul: Libya Airstrikes Unconstitutional – Only Congress Can Declare War

Ron Paul: Libya Airstrikes Unconstitutional – Only Congress Can Declare War
Ron Paul
March 18, 2011

Mr. Speaker: I rise to introduce a resolution expressing the sense of the Congress that the President is required to obtain in advance specific statutory authorization for the use of United States Armed Forces in response to civil unrest in Libya. As many in the administration, Congress, and elsewhere clamor for the president to initiate military action to support those seeking to overthrow the Libyan regime, Congress sits by, as usual, pretending that Article I, Section 8 of the US Constitution does not exist. According to this long-ignored section, ‘‘The Congress shall have Power To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water.”

This is black letter law, not some aspirational statement by our Founders. Their intent was indisputably clear: Congress alone, not the Executive Branch, has the authority and the obligation to declare war if hostilities are to be initiated against a foreign state that has not attacked the United States.

Let us be clear about one thing: for the US to take action to establish a “no fly” zone over all or part of Libya would constitute an act of war against Libya. For the US to establish any kind of military presence on the sovereign territory, waters, or over the airspace of Libya is to engage in a hostile action that requires Congressional authorization.

Whatever we may think about the Gaddafi regime, we must recognize that this is a coup d’etat in a foreign country. What moral right do we have to initiate military action against Libya? Libya has not attacked the United States. Neither the coup leaders nor the regime pose an imminent threat to the United States and therefore, as much as we abhor violence and loss of life, this is simply none of our business.

I would remind my colleagues that we have been here before. In the 1990s we established “no fly” zones and all manner of sanctions against Saddam Hussein’s regime in Iraq in attempt to force him from power. When that did not work — at a high cost in Iraqi lives — the US ultimately went to war to achieve these ends. The costs of this war, I do not need to remind my colleagues, was much higher even, in US military lives, in Iraqi civilian lives, in our diminished moral standing in the world, in our economy. Yet none of us seem able to learn from an enormous mistake made only a few years ago. Once again a bad man is doing bad things thousands of miles away and once again irresponsible voices are demanding that the US “do something” about it. Will we ever learn? We continue to act as the policemen of the world at our own peril, and as we continue we only accelerate our economic collapse.

Let the supporters of yet another war in the Middle East come forth to make their case for a US attack against Libya. I will strongly oppose such a move, but it should be very clear that if a war against Libya is to be initiated it must be declared by the proper Constitutional authority: the US Congress.

U.S. Troops Murder 3 Yr. Old With 14 Family Members Massacred

In Iraq
An Associated Press writer has reported that according to witnesses U.S. troops killed fifteen
family members  in  houses near where a Marine had been killed by a roadside bomb.  Among those
killed was a three year old girl from one of the two families.  This incident is said to have happened
about 140 miles northwest of Baghdad near Haditha.  A journalism student provided videotape of the

The residents described what was a "massacre" as U.S. troops also shot dead 5 men who were
in a car near the scene.  A total  of 24 bodies were delivered to the hospital and according to the no.

'US dropped cluster bombs on Misratah'

A Human rights investigation in Libya has found that it was the US and its Western allies who cluster bombed the troubled city of Misratah back in April.

The HRI said it has convincing evidence that the cluster bombing blamed on pro-Gaddafi forces was actually carried out by the US navy.  Read More at the above link.    http://philosophers-stone.co.uk

Obama’s Finest Hour: Killing Innocent People For “Made-Up Crap”

By Chris Floyd

If ever I am tempted by the siren songs of my tribal past as a deep-fried, yellow-dawg Democrat, and begin to feel any faint, atavistic stirrings of sympathy for the old gang, I simply think of things like the scenario below, sketched last week by Johann Hari, and those wispy ghosts of partisanship past go howling back to the depths:

Imagine if, an hour from now, a robot-plane swooped over your house and blasted it to pieces. The plane has no pilot. It is controlled with a joystick from 7,000 miles away, sent by the Pakistani military to kill you. It blows up all the houses in your street, and so barbecues your family and your neighbours until there is nothing left to bury but a few charred slops. Why? They refuse to comment. They don’t even admit the robot-planes belong to them. But they tell the Pakistani newspapers back home it is because one of you was planning to attack Pakistan. How do they know? Somebody told them. Who? You don’t know, and there are no appeals against the robot.

Now imagine it doesn’t end there: these attacks are happening every week somewhere in your country. They blow up funerals and family dinners and children. The number of robot-planes in the sky is increasing every week. You discover they are named “Predators”, or “Reapers” – after the Grim Reaper. No matter how much you plead, no matter how much you make it clear you are a peaceful civilian getting on with your life, it won’t stop. What do you do? If there was a group arguing that Pakistan was an evil nation that deserved to be violently attacked, would you now start to listen?

…[This] is in fact an accurate description of life in much of Pakistan today, with the sides flipped. The Predators and Reapers are being sent by Barack Obama’s CIA, with the support of other Western governments, and they killed more than 700 civilians in 2009 alone – 14 times the number killed in the 7/7 attacks in London. The floods were seen as an opportunity to increase the attacks, and last month saw the largest number of robot-plane bombings ever: 22. Over the next decade, spending on drones is set to increase by 700 per cent.  [Read more at The Sovereign Independent at above link.]
